The Life Cycle of different organisms
Every living organism remains alive on earth for a limited period of time growsful and then die inspite of this harsh reality, vast number of plant and animals species have existed on earth for several Thousand Years it means that there must be some processed that ensure the production of a new organism in place of those that die.
Reproduction of organisms
" The biological process which allows the production of new organism from the existing organism is called reproduction".
Reproduction is one of the most fundamental attributes of all living organisms as it is essential for the survival of species it helps them to produce their own kind to maintain the lives of their species on earth.
It is the clear that four species of a plant or animals to
continue living on this earth It must reproduce itself.
Life Span of different organisms
The period from birth to the natural death of an organism
represents it life span life span is a specific trait of each organism. Life
span differs from few days to several Thousand Years. Lifespan are not
essentially corelated with size or complexity of an organisms.
As for example: crow and parrot are almost equal size but
crow has a lifespan of only 15 years while parrot lives for about 140 years.
Similarly mango tree leaves for 200 years while peepal has a
lifespan of about 2 thousand years to 5 thousand years.
Other examples:
Whatever be the lifespan of the earth of every organism is
sure which means more individual is living forever.
Thus, we can say living organisms are mortal now a question arises, is this true for a single cell organisms also?
No, single celled organism when they grow up undergo
division i.e a mother cell divides into two daughter cells. Nobody part is left
to die. So They simply get to larger and then which is not considered as that. Such
organisms are immortal.
In Insect Some
insects undergo complete metamorphosis. The stages are egg, larva, pupa, and
adult. bee, butterfly, ladybug, mosquito Other insects undergo incomplete
metamorphosis.
The stages are egg, nymph, and adult. bedbug, dragonfly, grasshopper, lice
In Amphibians also undergo a metamorphosis. They lay their
eggs in water. Larvae hatch and live underwater. They grow and develop into
terrestrial adults that live and breathe on land. frog, salamander
